Facebook is a great way to connect and to share your life with your friends and family. But it is important to be safe and smart when using Facebook, or any website for that matter. Here are some basic ideas and things to remember when you’re on Facebook:
- Never put sensitive data such as your social security number or credit card numbers anywhere on Facebook.

- Keep in mind that anyone, not just your friends, can come across your information. Before posting pictures and rants think about who your comfortable with seeing it. Your parents? Your boss? A future employer looking to hire you?
