Words are nice. I like to write words. But sometimes it is also nice to have more than just words on a screen. It can be

nice to hear the voices behind the words. The sound of someone’s voice helps us to get to know them a bit more. That is why we have started the Voices of IBMC podcast series.

The podcasts will contain the voices and sounds that can be found in and around the campuses of IBMC. Our first victim volunteer is Instructor Rick Jennings from IBMC’s Fort Collins campus.

Please comment on who you would like to hear from or what questions you might have for them.

IBMC Staff Take Part in the Relay For Life

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

Recently members of the IBMC staff took part in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

What is Relay For Life?

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature activity. It offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Relays are an overnight event, up to 24 hours in length.

Teams of people from all walks of life have fun while raising much-needed funds to fight cancer and raise awareness of cancer prevention and treatment. (http://www.relayforlife.org/relay/whatisrelay#whatisrelay)
