That evening they proudly wore a cap and gown, sat on a stage for all to see, and received their degree or certificate.

The ceremony was just over an hour long and I will be sharing with you videos from the ceremony. Today is the first, IBMC’s CEO Richard Laub delivering a welcome speech to begin the ceremony.

IBMC Blog Guy Visits The Greeley Campus

greeley campus IBMC Blog Guy Visits The Greeley Campus
My job as as IBMC’s Blog Guy is to blog about all of IBMC, not just the Fort Collins campus. But since I live in Fort Collins that is where I spend most of my time. And that is why most of the blog has been about the Fort Collins campus. Yesterday I made the drive south to IBMC’s Greeley campus.

I arrived at about 1:30 and Dale Meyer, the School Director gave me a tour and introduced me to staff and students. It is always nice to meet so many people but for me it is hard to remember all their names, hope they can cut me some slack on that one.

The afternoons are pretty quiet at the Greeley campus. Dale told me that most of the students attend morning and evening classes in Greeley. The afternoon is just Therapeutic Massage students. So at break time the student lounge was full of students in scrubs. (Are they still called scrubs when your a Massage Therapist?) That must be like going to school in your pajamas. And the student lounge had a few comfy leather couches. It is a wonder the students go back to class after flopping on those.

It was nice to finally see the Greeley campus. I need to go back in the morning when there are more students to be found. But I was able to get some good pictures of the campus. Expect a slide show.

Blog guy is in the house at IBMC

press hat 300x231 Blog guy is in the house at IBMC
Hello Daryle here, also know as blog guy. And if your a student of IBMC your going to be seeing a lot more of me on campus, especially the Fort Collins’ campus. Every Monday through Thursday I am goig to be spending at least two hours a day on campus so that I can get to know you better. Because the better I know you the better I can share your stories. And I know you all have stories that are worth sharing.

Most weeks I will be at the Fort Collins campus but I will be visiting the IBMC campuses in Greeley and Cheyenne, Wyoming as well. You’ll most likely find me sitting in the student lounge or in the back of your classroom.

What I’ll be looking for is students who want their 15 minutes of IBMC fame right here on this blog. That can be in the form of a written interview, an audio podcast interview, or a video interview.

I’ll also be looking for students who want to take part of a student video project we are working on. We have a nice little video camera that we will loan you for a day. Your job is to shoot some footage of your life here at IBMC. Turn the camera back in and we’ll do some editing to create some great student created IBMC videos. Also looking for people to be apart of the story boarding process and editing process as well. You can be involved as much as you’d like. This is your blog after all.

I am looking forward to getting to know more of you here at IBMC. I know that I’ve only scratched the surface in the few weeks that I’ve been hanging around. But already in that time I’ve learned that IBMC is truly full of caring individuals who are changing lives.
