After students get their paperwork and future graduate photo taken care of they head into a large conference room for a 45 minute meeting with some of the IBMC staff. Rich, the CEO of IBMC was the first to speak.
Rich congratulates the students for coming to IBMC, for deciding to get out of a rut, for having the guts to change their lives. He also encourages the new students to use IBMC’s open door policy. Whether it be to talk about teachers, text books, or vending machines, the CEO’s door is always open to hear from the students.
Next up is Diana the Vice President of Education at IBMC, who also reinforces the school’s open door policy. After all that is why staff keeps so much candy on their desks. Diana then addresses the importance of the students checking their email. A lot of important school information is distributed via email. She also goes over the packet each student will receive depending on what program they are enrolled in.
After Diana, Joanne from Career Services speaks. She goes over the role of Career Services in finding the students a career, from externships to resumes. Joanne also states that IBMC has a 90% job placement rate, which is pretty good if you ask me.
Sherry from Admissions speaks next and she brings prizes. The students are already familiar with her and the Admission Department so she knows them by name. She asks trivia questions and gives away IBMC gear to the right answers.
Steve, the President of IBMC, wraps up the meeting with 4 things it takes to be successful at IBMC. Which are:
1. Get here.
2. Keep a positive attitude.
3. Work hard.
4. Remember why your at IBMC.
I would tell you more and go into more detail but I don’t want to give any away. Click here if your ready to enroll at IBMC.
Starting anything in life can be scary.
student’s paper work is in order. Despite the fact that this station involves accounting and money this seems to be a pretty painless stop for the students.
